Students and Faculty Invited to Discover the World of Corrections Through CDCR Outreach Program
Prison Building Visitors Entrance

Students interested in a career in corrections and rehabilitation are invited to take part in a learning program through the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) College Outreach Program (C.O.P.).

The program provides students with a hands-on experience that extends beyond traditional classroom learning. Participants will attend an informative presentation led by CDCR Correctional Officer recruiters and can tour Lancaster State Prison to explore the realities of working in corrections.

In addition to student opportunities, faculty members are also invited to participate in the program. This offers educators a chance to learn more about the aspects of correctional education and the role it plays in rehabilitation efforts. Faculty can earn FPD Standard 2 credit.
