AB 1805 seeks to ensure that community college students are placed equitably in English and math courses with a systemwide stated goal to eliminate achievement gaps for students from traditionally underrepresented groups. To that end, we have adopted placement practices that allow all students to begin English and math courses at the transfer-level, which may include recommendations and/or requirements for concurrent support services.
