Courtesy Phone and Lobby

Students who need to use a phone may come to the campus Sheriff's Office and utilize the courtesy phone in the lobby for local calls. Use of this phone is provided at no cost.

The campus Sheriff's Office lobby is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as a designated place of safety for those waiting for a ride.

Lost and Found

The Antelope Valley College Sheriff's Office maintain a campus lost and found.

Items can be turned in anytime by bringing the property to the Sheriff's Office.

Items can be picked up from the Sheriff's Office at any time.

Proof of identification and ownership will be required.

Criminal Prevention and Detection

The Antelope Valley College Sheriff's Office is a pro-active department. Our officers are constantly on alert to guard against criminal activity. High visibility and 24 hour patrols ensure all who come onto our campus a great learning environment.

Campus Safety Escort Program

The Antelope Valley College Sheriff's Office offers escorts on a 24-hour basis for students, faculty, and visitors on campus.

You can request an escort by campus phone at extension 6399 or by cell phone at 661.722.6399.

An officer will respond to your location and escort you to your destination. If that destination is your vehicle, the officer will wait until you safely exit the parking lot.

Calling from Home
In the event you are calling from home and wish an escort from your vehicle to a location on campus, simply contact us at 661.722.6399 and advise us of the following:

  1. Location you will be arriving 
  2. Type of vehicle
  3. Location in which you wish to be escorted to

An officer will meet you at the location requested and escort you to your destination.

Vehicle Assistance Program

The Antelope Valley College Sheriff's Office has portable jump packs that can be used to start vehicles with dead batteries. If you encounter a dead battery, call 6399 from any campus phone or 661.722.6399 from your cell phone and an officer will be dispatched to your vehicle for assistance. Be prepared to give your name, phone number, and a description of your vehicle at the time of the request.
