KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

With the recent increased immigration enforcement activities reported in Kern and Los Angeles Counties. As your Dreamers Center, we believe it is crucial to ensure you are fully informed of your constitutional protections and rights.

Please note that this communication is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. For specific legal guidance, please consult with a qualified immigration attorney.

It is essential to understand that you have specific constitutional protections under the Fourth Amendment, which safeguards against unreasonable searches and seizures, and the Fifth Amendment, which protects against self-incrimination.

These constitutional rights mean you:

  • - Do not need to sign any documents

  • - Have the right to deny entry to your residence

  • - Are not obligated to present documentation to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents without proper legal authority
