AVC Student ID Cards

Example of Student ID

 

To receive an AVC Student ID card, you must be a current AVC student registered in at least one class for the current or upcoming semester.  

Dual Enrollment Students 

To receive an AVC Student ID you must have successfully completed your first semester in the Dual Enrollment program and be registered in at least one class for the current or upcoming semester.  

Special Admit Students  

To receive an AVC Student ID you must be a current AVC Special Admit student registered in at least one class for the current or upcoming semester. 

Health and Safety Science Program – ID Badge 

Applicable Programs: Radiology, Respiratory, LVN, EMT, Registered Nursing, Medical Office Assisting 

Students enrolled in Health and Safety Sciences [HSS] programs requiring an ID badge should: 

  • Check with your HSS Instructor to confirm if they have scheduled an appointment at the Welcome Center for badge distribution. 

  • If no appointment was made, you can obtain your badge directly from the Welcome Center. 

  • Be sure to bring your AVC ID to receive your badge 


Requirements:

  • Provide your Student ID 900 number 

  • Present a photo ID which may include: 

  • California ID or Driver's License 

  • Other State ID 

  • Military ID 

  • Current Passport 

  • Bank Card with Picture and Name 

  • Previous Year School ID 

  • Take photo for ID card 

  • No headwear, hoods, or sunglasses are allowed to be worn in the photo 

Additional Information

  • AVC Student ID Cards [first issuance] are FREE.  

  • A valid student ID is required to access various college services, including: 

  • Library 

  • Instructional Multimedia Center 

  • Learning Center 

  • Open Computer Labs 

  • Financial Aid 

  • Other resources and services 

  • Your AVC ID remains valid the duration of your enrollment. Renewal is not required.

Temporary ID Cards

  • A temporary ID card is a paper printout of your AVC ID, not a physical ID card. Temporary ID cards are valid for one day only  

  • Available to students enrolled in at least one class for the current or upcoming semester.  

  • Previously enrolled students not registered for the current or upcoming semester may receive a temporary ID only for identity verification within Student Services (e.g., Admissions and Records, Financial Aid). 

Replacement ID Cards

  • Each student receives one free ID card. 

  • A one-time complementary replacement card is available if enrolled in the current or upcoming semester.   

  • Returning students may re-use their previous ID card.  If more than two years have passed since last enrollment, a new one-time complementary replacement card will be issued free of charge.  

  • Lost your ID? Check the Welcome Center’s Lost and Found before requesting a replacement ID card. If you have already received your one-time complementary replacement card, the replacement fee of the lost card will be $20 payable at the Cashier’s Office. 


    Welcome Center 

Student ID cards are issued at the Welcome Center, located in the Student Services (SSV) building.  

The hours of operation are: 

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM 

  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM 

ID card services are not available during holidays and campus closures.  

Student ID Card Guidelines

  • Carry your AVC ID card at all times. Security, Faculty, or Staff may request it for identity verification.  

  • Do not alter, mark, or damage your card as it may affect the barcode or magnetic strip functionality.  

  • The ID card is nontransferable and must be presented on demand. Misuse is prohibited. 

  • Report lost or damaged cards immediately.
