Freshwater is critical for every part of daily life, but it’s running out quickly. Antelope Valley College biology professor Joshua Shipp will be giving a presentation on the science of freshwater, explaining how it’s needed to sustain life, produce energy and grow food.
The presentation will also cover the serious environmental problems that come with the fast depletion of freshwater and how it could affect the stability of society around the world, which could lead to major disasters.
AVC students and staff are invited to learn about the freshwater crisis, its impact, and how we can be aware of the risks and find ways to protect our freshwater supply for the future.
No registration is required. Faculty can register using Vision Resource Center.
