teaching philosophy
My approach to teaching is multifoliate (after all, the world is a large place to navigate through instruction alone) but can be summarized as follows: Composition, like any art, should challenge us to think beyond our comfort zones; art should never be a linear function, or a matter of “getting it” or “not getting it.”
When we challenge our art, and the way we look at art, we create new ideas, and this process is what propels writing.
