EOPS Application for Fall Semester Now Open

The Extended Opportunities Programs and Services (EOPS) program at Antelope Valley College is now accepting applications for the upcoming Fall 2024 semester.

EOPS is a California Community College program to assist educationally disadvantaged students with various services to help them succeed in higher education.

Six requirements must be met to determine eligibility for EOPS benefits.

Requirements include:

  • Financial needs determined by the Financial Aid Office. 
  • Have Unmet Needs determined by the Financial Aid Office after completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). 
  • Must be a full-time student enrolled in at least 12 units for the Fall 2024 semester. 
  • Must be a California resident. 
  • Have not earned a prior college degree. 
  • Determined to be economically disadvantaged.

Students who meet the requirements for EOPS can benefit from one-on-one counseling, early registration, tutoring, and more. Eligible EOPS students can also benefit from other Extended Opportunity services such as CARE, NEXTUP, and Guardian Scholar programs.
