You can add/drop a class on the web or in person at the Admissions and Records counter located in the Student Services Building Lobby. Each course has a five digit CRN number that you must have in order to add/drop a class. Prerequisites do apply and will prevent you from registering if not completed.
Remember, the web has the most up-to-date information.
ADD/DROP Guidelines:
Fall/Spring
During the first two weeks of the regular semester you may add a class with the instructor's signature.
Summer/Intersession
During the first week of the class you may add with the instructor's signature.
Short Term
During the first week of the class you may add with the instructor's signature.

You may receive priority registration if you complete all the Matriculation steps before the current deadline.
If you do not complete the Matriculation steps by the deadline you will still recieve priority registration for the next registration cycle.
hideKeeping checking the Schedule of Classes posted on the web. It has the most current information on class enrollments. You may also "Late Add" more commonly known as "crashing" a class with an add slip signed by the instructor.
hideUsername
When you apply to AVC, you are given a user name. Your User name for myAVC is the first letter of your first name and your last name (no spaces). For common names, numbers will be assigned: jdoe1, jdoe2, jdoe3.
To get your User name, use the "myAVC home" link and then click "How do I find my user name and password?" on the myAVC login page. Enter your information and click the "Continue" button.
Password
First-time users are automatically assigned their birthdate (6 digits) as the Password (MMDDYY). For example, the password for someone born May 8, 1984 would be 050884.
If you encounter problems logging into myAVC, contact the myAVC technical assistance at (661) 722-6300 ext. 6605. Hours of operation are on the myAVC login page.
hideAfter registering for a class you have to pay by all posted deadlines. If you are on financial aid make sure all paperwork is complete and in order to avoid being dropped.
