Financial & Fiscal Services: Audits

Community colleges are required to have an annual independent audit arranged by May 1 preceding that fiscal year.

No later than December 31, the preceding annual audit report shall be filed with the Board of Governors, the Department of Finance and other regulatory agencies.

The Governing Board of each institution shall review the audit report at a public meeting pursuant with Section 84040 of the Education Code.
