STUDENT BIOS
River Acosta
River Acosta has enjoyed being the assistant director for A new story of Rabbit and Frog and assistant stage managing for Linda and Dress Blues. She is also an aspiring actress, majoring in theater arts at Antelope Valley college.
Anthony Amaro
Anthony is a Theater Arts major who finds enjoyment in helping create plays and helping people in the festival. He feels that this festival is going to be amazing and that anyone who watches will be surprised by the creativity and care put into each of these six plays.
Alexander Arvizu
Alex has been a part of 3 different shows at Antelope Valley College, Clue, The Laramie Project, and now the One Acts festival. He’s dumb as rocks if rocks were really smart. He looks forward to continuing his work with Antelope Valley College.
Sarah Balmoja
Sarah was first introduced to theatre during her time in UC Davis where she discovered her passion for costume design. She was able to work in the costume department in plays such as “Pippin”, “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike", and some dance performances. Her passion for acting also started in AVC's recent play, "The Phantom Tollbooth."
Katelynn Barillas
Katelynn is extremely excited to show her passion for theatre and acting. She has been a part of theatre for quite some time; she could not imagine doing anything else.
Robert "Bobby" Bennett
Bobby is very excited to be a part of this Festival.
Terriey Velasco Cruz
Terriey is happy to be in his first AVC production! He recently changed his major to Theatre Arts after being introduced earlier this year! His experience includes leading roles in Peter and the Starcatcher, Avenue Q, and Head Over Heels.
Anthony Dakarmenjian
Anthony has enjoyed the creative outlet of working on Audience Engagement, Costumes, Props, and being an Assistant Stage Manager. Anthony is excited for what's to come in his future.
Sarah De Luna Stallworth
Sarah is an aspiring actress, director, and screenwriter. Theatre, here at AVC, has become an outlet for her creative expression and abilities.
Jaylen Deadmon-Hughes
Jaylen is excited to be participating in the 27th One A One Acts Festival. She has been part of many of the shows here at Antelope Valley College and has a love to perform.
Carolina Diaz
Carolina Diaz, a Film and TV major, enjoys the behind the scenes and loves to make films. The 27th One Act Play Festival will mark her first acting role. After finishing college a semester early, she plans to further her education through internships!
Serena Dunmeyer
This year marks Serena’s 4th year acting and pursuing theatre, and she’s excited for the many years of it to come.
Chloe Marie Estrella
Chloe Marie Estrella has been Stage Manager for three semesters now. She got her start with last year’s One Acts, so she has a special place in her heart for this Festival and cannot wait to see you from our beloved BB Booth!
Andrew Frankenberg
Andrew is a nerdy Homeschooled kid from Lake LA. This festival is his first real experience with theater production. It's been an amazing experience for him. He’s so happy to be here making this idea come true.
Simone Hayes
Simone Hayes is an aspiring actress who is honored to be apart of her first theater production at AVC.

David is very excited to be a part of this Festival.
Jacob "Jake" Holmes
Jacob is excited to keep pursuing theater as a passion and open doors along that pathway for himself, as well as help others with their goals. He looks forward to meeting many more people through theater and the rest of his time at AVC.

Marlene Puerto
Marlene Puerto is the One Acts Play Festival's costume and makeup designer for this semester. She is an aspiring casting director, playwright, as well as costume & makeup designer with a major in theatre arts. Marlene has assisted with costume and makeup for other productions, including Clue & The Laramie Project.
Paulina Rivera
Paulina is very excited to be a part of this Festival.
Joshua Ruano
Joshua hopes he can do well as he quotes, “This is my first One Act Festival and I want to do a good job at it.”. He’s currently majoring in Theater Arts in hopes of becoming an actor.
Gabriela Sima
Gabriela has a passion for theatre set and audio production. She has worked on numerous plays and plans on becoming a live performance audio engineer.
Ryan J. Solano
Ryan J. Solano is honored to have the ability to direct two one acts this semester. Ryan has directed a short film “The Twinkie Epidemic” and Co-directed an Alumni show “Arsenic and old lace”. Aside from directing, Ryan also enjoys acting; he was most recently seen playing Dennis Shepard in The Laramie Project. Past shows include: Clue and Rough Magic. Ryan is passionate about theater and will continue to work on and off the stage to pursue his career in the arts.
Lane Wheatley
Lane has been in the theatre for 2 years with the most recent show being Clue at AVC. He is studying biology but loves the art of theatre and always wants to do more each time.
