Makerspace at Palmdale Technical Center
The Makerspace at AVC Palmdale Center will offer a space where students, staff, industry professionals, and entrepreneurs can develop skills, create prototypes, and have access to advanced software, milling machines, 3D printers, and integrated manufacturing tools.
In collaboration with the Air Force Research Labs (AFRL), the Makerspace will:
- Work with educational partners, small businesses, and industry partners to encourage teamwork and learning through practical, hands-on projects.
- Offer workshops and training to help AVC students and community members gain new skills and prepare for the workforce.
- Support educational programs and hands-on projects related to the aerospace and engineering fields.
The Air Force Research Laboratory, or AFRL, is the primary scientific research and development center for the Department of the Air Force. AFRL plays an integral role in leading the discovery, development, and integration of affordable warfighting technologies for our air, space, and cyberspace force.
