The Assessment Center offers makeup test proctoring services to AVC faculty and students at both the Lancaster main campus and Palmdale Center. Makeup exam services are designed for students who miss their regularly scheduled exams due to extenuating circumstances. Makeup exams are provided at the discretion of the instructor.

• Lancaster makeup exams are offered on a walk-in basis Mondays through Thursdays between 7:30 am - 6 pm, and Fridays between 7:30 am - 11:30 am.
   
• Palmdale make up exams are by appointment only. To make an appointment, contact Palmdale Student Services at (661) 722-6300, ext. 1905.
   
• Makeup exams will not be administered during FINALS WEEK. We will administer makeup exams the week(s) leading up to and the week after FINALS. Please take that into consideration when working out a makeup exam time frame with the instructor.
   
• Makeup exams must be submitted by the instructor at least one business day in advance of a test date. We cannot guarantee same day makeup test proctoring services.
   
• Makeup exams will be given until the deadline established by the instructor. If a deadline changes, the instructor will need to contact the Assessment Center to request a date change.
   
• Students must present photo ID when checking in to take a makeup exam.
   
• Internet access is available for students taking online exams.
   
• Makeup exams are not intended for students receiving testing accommodations. Students registered with OSD Alternative Testing accommodations must schedule exams (including makeups) with that department in order to receive the appropriate services.
