personal introduction
I have been teaching at Antelope Valley College since 1996, first as an adjunct and then as full time faculty beginning in 1998. I teach a wide range of composition courses, traditional and online, with an emphasis on critical thinking and argumentation. Additionally, I teach several diversity courses, including Cross-Cultural Literature, Native American Literature, and Hispanic and Latino Literature. My favorite aspect of teaching is class discussion, when my students and I have in-depth conversations about a wide-range of topics.
