Digital Media courses are directed toward career, technical, and artistic application of the acquired skills within each of the designated areas.
The Digital Media program is directed toward providing individual artistic development with an emphasis on the student’s ability to use computer technology to create graphic and photographic images.
The Digital Media program develops competencies in graphic design, digital photographic imaging, video design and production, animation, digital printing, and interactive media. Successful completion of a certificate program provides students with entry-level skills for a wide variety of digital media industry employment.

The Digital Media Program can provide you with the skills and knowledge to take your creativity and turn it into something marketable and profitable. Prospective employers need skilled designers and production artists to create web sites, brochures, billboard designs, commercials, logos, illustrations, presentations, movies, television shows and more. Your options in this industry are nearly limitless.
The instructors, who are all working professionals in the digital media arts, will train you in various computer programs and show you how to integrate them to create multimedia products. You will simulate a real-world working environment with assignments mirroring those that could be expected of you in the field. Business practices and portfolio-building skills will also be offered to you, enabling you to be employment-ready upon completion of your chosen area of study.
What kinds of classes are offered?
Depending on the certificate or degree path you take, you will have access to an incredible variety of courses designed to develop your abilities in the digital arts. You could learn techniques of the industry-standard graphics program Photoshop (DM 113) or design your own cartoon in two- and three-dimensional animation classes (DM 143 & 145). Web design (DM 128) and video design and production (DM 206) are just a few of the diverse courses available.
