    Open auditions for the AVC Theatre Arts Departmentís spring Theatre for Young Audiences production of Cootie Shots (Theatrical Inoculations Against Bigotry for Kids, Parents and Teachers) will be held Friday, Feb. 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the AVC Black Box Theatre, with callbacks from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. the same afternoon.

    Antelope Valley College and the Antelope Valley College Foundation have announced the recipients of the 2015 Achievement Awards who will be honored at the AVC 85th Anniversary Gala, 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at the A.V. Fairgrounds, H.W. Hunter Pavilion, 2551 West Ave. H, Lancaster.
  • Coaches vs. Cancer set for February 18

    Antelope Valley College will again host the Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser on Wednesday, Feb. 18 between the 5 p.m. Men’s basketball game and 7 p.m. Women’s basketball game (approx. 6:30 p.m.) in the AVC Gymnasium. The event includes a 60-second free throw shootout with AVC President Ed Knudson and Dean Newton Chelette and a half court shot to win a Fiat. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. 
  • AVC Theatre Arts Department Performs American Classic

    The Antelope Valley College Theatre Arts Department’s production of Clifford Odett’s Waiting for Lefty opens on Thursday, February 5 at 8 p.m. at the college’s Black Box Theatre, with additional performances Friday, February 6 at 8 p.m., Saturday, February 7 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, February 8 at 2 p.m.

    Antelope Valley College is honored to be one of the 15 colleges selected today by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors to develop a pilot bachelor’s degree program.
