ITS: Accomplishments
- December, 2008
- Implemented Clean Address and created a link for students to verify their address. When students verify their address, they are automatically entered in a drawing to win a $50 iTunes card.
- Significantly increased database and web performance during the 200910_30 registration cycles.
- Installed patches for 1098T processing.
- Trained Business Services on running 1098T processes for 2008 tax year.
- November, 2008
- Coordinated the upgrade of the BlackBoard test instance.
- October, 2008
- Attended and presented at the California Community Colleges Banner Group conference (3CBG).
- Created this website.
- Transitioned the APL and CDC buildings onto new fiber optic backbones to prevent further outages while construction is underway.
- Completed training on Blade PCs to better support our classrooms that use this technology.
- September, 2008
- Completed Enterasys network equipment training on to better support our infrastructure and to prepare for the deployment of RADIUS authentication.
- Completed 250 trouble calls generated from the start of the new semester.
- August, 2008
- Rebuilt a server that suffered catastrophic failure.
- Deployed a spam appliance to quarantine spam and allow the end users to configure personal spam settings.
- Deployed new anti-malware software to the campus, including in labs.
- Prepared 600 lab computers for use by the first day of classes.
